My husband is so funny, he doesn’t “do” the computer but he’s always asking me if “so and so” is on Facebook or how do I find out about “such and such.” And because that’s what I do as social media consultant and manager, I always check Facebook first to see if I can find the answer for him.
The first thing I do is go to the Search area of Facebook and type in the person’s name or industry, business name or just a general topic. Facebook returns several results for me and I can dig-deeper to find specific pages, applications, people or whatever.
But wouldn’t it be great if you had one place to go to online to find people, pages, applications and groups? Now there is such a place! Facebook now has a directory where you can search alphabetically to find just about anything or anyone. Here’s the link to the Facebook Directory. And once you are there, you might want to bookmark that page, so you will easily find it in the future.
Enjoy searching!
