I’m sure by now you are well aware that there are those who have reported HUGE amounts of money being made with their online businesses.  What you may not be aware of is the amount of work involved in generating those “sales” (not always net profit, mind you … this isn’t “spendable” income in a lot of cases.)

That brings me to the fourth reason why I love affiliate marketing…

** You don’t need to manage an entire business **

While it can be quite lucrative, running an entire business with employees, inventory, partners, vendors, and other associates can be a time-sucking, frustrating ordeal.

Imagine…

* Processing refunds
* Putting out fires when partners SPAM
* Managing day-to-day operations
* Overseeing projects you’ve outsourced
* Recruting new affiliates
* Training everyone to help you
* Paying taxes
* Taking care of the paper trail
* Doing all of the “stuff” that business owners do.

Didn’t you want to start an internet business to make more time for important things in life?

Why not make a lot of money WITHOUT making a lot of extra work for yourself?!

It can be a lot of extra work and stress. BUT, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to manage an entire business! You are simply responsible for promoting your affiliate link… someone else handles all the rest.

That’s why I love affiliate marketing.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 3

Some people have the ability to persuade others and talk them into just about anything.  Especially when it comes to influencing their buying decisions.  They know how to push the right hot buttons, say things the right way and generally get consumers into an emotional frenzy to the point they are ready to click an order button.

There are two key words in that paragraph that really need to stand out in your mind:  “some people”.

Not everyone has this ability.  In fact, only a few do.

That brings me to the third reason why I love affiliate marketing…

** You don’t need to write a world class salesletter**

Have you ever tried to write a salesletter? There’s a reason why professional copywriters charge up to $10,000  (and sometimes even more) for a SINGLE salesletter. It  takes a lot of experience and skill to write a top-gun salesletter, which is why most people have a hard time convincing people to buy if they do create their own products and website.

They simply don’t have the right salesletter in place to make it all work. Without good copy, it really doesn’t matter how spectacular the offer is, you’re simply not going to get many sales.

SIDEBAR: The average conversion rate of site visitors who become buyers is reportedly less than 2%.  That means 98 out of every 100 do NOT buy.  That’s why sales are so incredibly bad for a poor site … you *might* get 2 sales out of every 300-400 visitors.

BUT, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to write a salesletter! You simply direct people to someone else’s high-octane salesletter for THEM to convert your leads into commissionable sales.

That’s why I love affiliate marketing.

You don’t need to write a world class salesletter.

Pop quiz time. What does “HTML” stand for? Don’t know that one? How about this – what does “FTP” stand for? OK, one more chance. Do you know how to work with either?

That brings me to the second reason why I love affiliate marketing…

** You don’t need to build a website **

What scares people more than creating a product is building a website!

• What in the world is HTML? Or FTP?
• How much does the software cost? And hosting?
• How do I upload files?
• Why isn’t it formatted correctly?
• Why don’t my graphics look like the ones the pros have?

If you are a complete beginner, it can be very difficult (even using templates) to get an attractive website in place. And hiring a professional to do it for you is out of the budget for most people.

But, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to build a website. You simply send visitors to someone else’s professionally designed site through your affiliate link.

SIDEBAR: Just in case you’re interested, HTML stands for “hypertext markup language” and is the coding used to build webpages. FTP stands for “file transfer protocol” and is the process used for moving files from your computer to a website, or vice versa.

Really, in a manner of looking at it, you get to take advantage of the time and money invested by someone else to develop the site. Think about it: when you promote an affiliate link, it reflects firstly upon YOU. You are the one who is advertising the link, recommending the product, sending people who have interacted with YOU to the website.

The professional site of someone else really represents you as the promoter, in the eye of those who have clicked through your link.

You get the benefits without the bother.

That’s why I love affiliate marketing.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 1

Do you find yourself “starting” to create your own product to sell online, but never “finishing” it?

One of the things I love about affiliate marketing is –

** You don’t need to create your own products **

Many people find the idea of creating their own products to be an overwhelming and even paralyzing task.

• I don’t have any good ideas!
• I’m not a writer!
• There’s too much competition!
• I don’t know how to set everything up!
• I can’t figure out where to start!
• It’s too hard!

These are just a few of the valid reasons many people give when it comes to not creating their own products to sell. I’m sure with a few minutes of brainstorming, we could come up with a list of many more.

With affiliate marketing, you don’t need your own products. You simply promote someone else’s already proven successful offer for a commission.

And, truth be told, even if you ARE a writer and you DO have lots of ideas and you CAN figure it all out…

** Nobody wants to create new products all the time **

As good as you may be, you don’t know everything!  Why try to create a product on every topic imaginable in your  market when you can earn just as much money by simply promoting someone else’s really good offer as one of your profit streams?

That’s why I love affiliate marketing. You don’t need to create your own products.

So what exactly is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is the single fastest growth industry on the Internet today. And affiliate marketing is one of the fastest and most creative ways to make money and have a career on the Internet.

Basically, affiliate marketing is selling products for someone else, on a commission basis.  You don’t have to have a product of your own to begin with. Or ever, for that matter.  Millions of people are building a very nice, lucrative business through affiliate marketing and truly leveraging their time to enjoy life and achieve their financial goals. Below are certain things that a successful affiliate marketer must have:

1. The first step in any successful affiliate marketing business is building a good, credible and professional looking website. You must build a user-friendly website, which will attract your prospects and motivate them to click on the links to the products and services you are promoting and make a purchase. Of course, my recommendation is to use a self-hosted WordPress blog to build your website, which will give you a heads-up on SEO power.
2. Next you need to find products to sell, and determine whether there is a demand for those products and if people will actually buy them.  You may either have your own original product or products that are made by others. You will need to do some keyword research to see if people are searching on the products and/or services that you are planning to be affiliated with.  Use the free keyword tool from WordTracker, http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com.
3. You can utilize different ad programs like Google Adwords and Facebook ads, but you can also build a powerful site with great keywords, backlinks and social media connections.
4. You should be very organized and have a plan for your affiliate program. You might even want to bring on an affiliate manager when your business reaches a certain income level.
5. Find something your passionate about and build an affiliate site around it.  Share what your doing with family and friends so they can help promote your new business.

If you have been following my blog, you know that I have been attending the Niche Affiliate Marketing System Workshop in Atlanta, GA.  Today is the last day of the workshop, which has been an incredible experience.  Yesterday, the instructors produced a product for the attendees to sale through their affiliate links and turned it into a contest to see which one of us could sell the most products.

As we frantically, blogged, tweeted, sent facebook, email and text messages across our various networking platforms to try and make sales, a couple from Venezuela was quitely connecting to their multiple lists and making sales.  Here is a video from Rafael, the winner of more than $25,000 in cash and prizes for making the most sales in a 24 hour period with our affiliate product at NAMS.

Wow, isn’t his story great!  We are so excited for Rafael and his wife and the great new affiliate marketing business he began this weekend.

I’m still at the Niche Affiliate Marketing System (NAMS) in Atlanta, GA and yesterday was full of great speakers and valuable content for everyone attending.  Here are some of the highlights of Day 2 on my journey to Making Money on Auto Pilot!

The day started with Mark Hendricks setting the stage for the attendees by revealing to us that our subconscious mind is our Secret tool to our success.  And it’s yours too!  He sang a song for us and then had us sing with him and the song was called, “One Step at a Time” and the second line is Makes all my Dreams Come True!  So we all were charged up and ready to grow our businesses, one step at a time.

The rest of the day was full of great social media instructions, questions, answers and strategies from 5 top Internet Marketing gurus.  The purpose of this session was of course, to teach the participants about social media strategies and using this medium to build your online business, but also, they recorded the entire session and gave it to us to make available to you; our readers!  Here’s the link for you to read all about the session and see if it’s something you would like to add to your marketing education Strategies 4 Social Marketing. Bob Jenkins of Bob the Teacher is so great and just gave an enormous amount of great quality information.   Some of the topics he covered were:

Joey Smith shared his Twitter Cash Machine with us and how to use Twitter for affiliate marketing.

And I ended my day making some great new friends and potential JV (joint venture) partners during dinner.  One of the great things about attending conferences, workshop and trainings is the people you meet and the relationships you build at them.  I was lucky enough to win a prize at NAMS.  I won a great CD from Denise Wakeman.  Here’s a photo of Denise at I at the workshop.

That’s my goal…to make money on auto-pilot.  So I made a great business decision to attend the Niche Affiliate Markeing System workshop in Atlanta.  I’m actually at the workshop sending this post because it’s been an amazing workshop so far!

Yesterday was a jam-packed day with Lynn Terry and Jeff Herring helping us to get started with Affiliate Marketing and understanding how to profit from it.

They shared these steps to beginning which are:

• Get an Idea
• Register a Domain Name
• See if there’s a need for what you want to offer by checking what people are searching.  You can use a free tool call http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com.
• Once your keyword research is complete, (based on your results) build your site with WordPress and then begin to promote your long-tail keywords (that you identified with your freekeywords tool).  Using sites like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and social bookmarking.

We also wrote an article (which I’ll post later on EzineArticles.com) to prove that “content is everywhere.”  Questions, answers, interviews, reviews; all of these areas can produce content.

Tomorrow  the instructors will be building a product for us to market and sell through our “Affiliate” link and the title is Strategies 4 Social Marketing.  This is going to be a great session, so stay tuned.  (I’ll try to send you the link later today to purchase this product)

When I say “Membership Sites”, what’s one of the first things that comes to mind?
