Today is Earth Day and National Administrative Professionals Day. As I was trying to think of how to recognize both very important days, I started looking for the similarities. And this is what I came up with.

| We depend on the Earth to provide us with everything we need to survive. | We depend on APs to provide us with everything we need to manage our business. |
| We take the Earth for granted that it will always be clean and vibrant. | APs clean up our messes and make the business look good and run smoothly. |
| The Earth depends on us to maintain and nurture it to be healthy and green. | APs depend on their boss to recognize their strengths and achievements. |
| The Earth produces life and abundance and it is our responsibility to protect it. | APs produce long lasting relationships for the business through their professionalism, dedication and skills. It is the responsibility of the business to encourage, appreciate and monetize them. |
As you have probably already guessed, I used to be an Administrative Professional. I always felt it was my job to support my boss and be a trusted and loyal part of their team. If you see a successful business, just look behind the scenes and you will find a strong, supportive Administrative Professional. And when you see strong, green healthy land, there is someone who is protecting and providing for our future generations to appreciate the Earth.
